Charters | Charter Policy
Payment
Deposit and/or balance must be paid by due date on charter contract, or
trip may be cancelled. Confirmation will be based on availability
at time deposit is received. If order is
placed with less than one-month's notice, payment in full is due to
reserve the bus. Please make checks payable to
Platinum Tours.
There will be a $35.00 fee for any returned checks.
Cost
Adjustments
Price is based on information provided at the time of contract and may
change upon final itinerary submission.
Cancellation Policy
Theater and other event tickets are non-refundable. Hotel packages
may be refundable with 30 days notice. However, a $50.00 administrative
fee is required if trip is canceled 60 days prior to departure and a fee
of $100.00 is levied if the trip is canceled 30 days or less before the
departure date. In case of charters only, a $250.00 cancellation fee is
charged if the coach is canceled after reporting for the trip.
Itinerary
Final itinerary for multiple days trips are due no less than two weeks
prior to departure date. All charters are permitted two (2) local pick-up
locations. Any additional pick-ups will alter pricing. Any
unanticipated itinerary changes made by the chartering party will be
billed accordingly.
Departure
Group to depart in a timely fashion as stated on contract. Late
departures are subject to additional hourly
charges, or will cut your planned trip short.
Liability for delays
Carrier will not be liable for delays caused by accidents, bad
road conditions, breakdowns, inclement weather,or other conditions
beyond its control. If, in the opinion of the carrier, conditions
make it inadvisable to operate charter service, the carrier will not be
liable therefore, be caused or held responsible for any damages for any reason(s). Additional costs such as transportation, meals, and
lodging will in this respect become the responsibility of the chartering
party.
Driver Requests
In the event of a request for a specific driver, Platinum Tours will
attempt to honor clients' wishes. However, a request is not a guarantee.
Amenities
Ineffective amenities, while rare, do occur. Should a specific amenity be
unavailable or inoperable, Platinum Tours will not be liable for its
unavailability or lack of performance.
Damage to Equipment
Any damage to equipment (seats, windows, etc.) which is caused
by any member of the chartering party shall be the responsibility of the
chartering party. The chartering party will pay, directly to the carrier, the
cost of repairs and/or loss thereof.
No Smoking Policy
To insure the comfort of our patrons, we have adopted a non-smoking
policy. Frequent comfort stops are made to allow for smoking,
stretching, restroom, etc. If your trip has a hotel stay, smoking
rooms must be requested at the time of reservation. If no
preference is indicated, passengers will be assigned to non-smoking rooms.
Objectionable Persons
Carrier reserves the right to refuse to transport any person under
the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs, or whose conduct is such as
to make him or her objectionable to other passengers or the safe
operation of the vehicle.
Immigration Requirement in Canada and Mexico
All US citizens must possess proof of citizenship such as a
birth certificate with a raised seal and/or a valid passport or
naturalization papers along with a photo ID. Non US citizens must
possess a passport, a visa, or a valid US alien registration card.
Disclosures and Liability
Platinum Tours is not
responsible for any damage, loss, delay, injury or accident due to any
act of default on the part of any company or person engaged in providing
transportation, lodging, sightseeing or other services which are part of
the trip. Please check with the appropriate government agency for
requirements prior to departure.
